In Darkness Cast, book one of Shades of Black by Jonathan Shuerger

Jonathan Shuerger’s book, In Darkness Cast, enthusiastically shines his military voice via Gidion’s blunt-force journey of magical weapons and terrifying enemies. Each chapter’s a gem. Jonathan’s excellent storytelling takes the reader through an arsenal of adventures. Befriended by the sorcerer, Ashkelon, they battle the hellspawn of the Everlasting Dark. For us romantics, Jonathan even gives readers a bit of love interest with Anya, the warrior from the wolf tribe.

In Darkness Cast came with me everywhere. I couldn’t put it down. I laughed and worried for Gidion while I sat in the dentist’s waiting room, the van’s oil change shop, and the pizza place. Shuerger’s book was pure entertainment. In Darkness Cast successfully blended terror with humor. The book was amazing.

I most highly recommend Jonathan Shuerger’s thriller, In Darkness Cast, book one of the Shades of Black series.
